Ellen Batty is a passionate writer, librettist, and songwriter who is currently an English Literature and Writing student at Huntington University. She aims to perfect the art of storytelling through various mediums and spread her faith through her works.

Currently, Ellen Batty is a reporter for The Huntingtonian, Huntington University’s campus newspaper, Social Media manager for the Huntingtonian Instagram and the author of the blog YoursTrulyLN. She is currently developing her creative novel “Countess of The Knight” and her original musical “Moonshire“

Ellen Batty creates art shaped from a Christian worldview. She believes storytelling carries moral and cultural responsibility and seeks to create work that reflects redemption, moral truth, and enduring hope. For this reason, she pursues projects aligned with her convictions and maintains clear, creative boundaries rooted in her faith.

All of Ellen Batty’s creative and journalistic work is entirely her own. Although Batty believes artificial intelligence can be used beneficially and can aide as a tool for research, organization, and academic support, she believes published works should directly come directly from the tongue and mind of the author.

As a writer shaped by her Christian faith, Batty views storytelling as an act of God-glorifying stewardship. For this reason, she does not use AI-generated content in her writing, lyrics, journalism, or music, unless specifically and openly stated.
